Dr. Eunice Oh,
Organist/Choirmaster

Dr. Oh holds a Bachelor of Music in flute performance from Kyungwon University, S. Korea, a Master of Music degree in flute performance from Ohio State University, and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in flute performance from the University of Alabama. Her primary flute teachers have included Diane Boyd Schultz, Katherine Borst Jones, and HyunSook Kim.

She won the Ohio State University Concerto Competition on flute and performed with the Ohio State University Symphony Orchestra in 2006. Dr. Oh was inducted in Pi Kappa Lambda during her studies, which is an American honor society. In Seoul, S. Korea in 2013, she made her professional debut on flute at Chamber Hall, SeJong Center for the Performing Arts, Seoul, S. Korea.

Her great musical enthusiasm combined with the pandemic led her to a pursuit of organ performance. Organ had been her secondary instrument at the University of Alabama, so she was not new to the instrument. Dr. Oh recently finished her master’s degree in organ performance at Georgia State University, where she was a student of Jens Korndörfer, but she has also studied with Peter Marshall (harpsichord), Sergio Gallo (piano), and Oliver Brett (organ).

Dr. Oh is a founding member of MUTO Chamber Players, an organization which makes classical music familiar to the public through stage and chamber music. As an educator, she was an adjunct professor at Korean Bible University and also an instructor of Gachoen Art Talented Institute and Incheon Art High School.

Dr. Oh just finished a music internship at Dunwoody United Methodist Church, where she assisted and directed children's tone chime choirs, youth and adult handbell choirs, played the flute, and accompanied multiple choirs. In addition to her flute and keyboard skills, she also plays kalimba and recorder.
