The Church of Our Saviour: Year of Catechesis
Weekly Schedule & Offerings

At the 2021 Annual Meeting, Fr. Chris set the tone and stage for our focus and theme for the year: A Year of Catechesis: Learning the Fundamentals of the Faith. As part of this theme additional offerings will be available for the faithful to engage in: In addition to various Bible Studies throughout the week, Sunday Morning Formation will resume, both in person and online via Zoom. This formation period is to allow the faithful an opportunity to begin learning, marking, and inwardly digesting, the essential elements and components of the faith and living.

This class, paired with Bible Study, is the first prong (Catechesis) of a three-pronged approach (Akoloutheō, & Kérussó), designed to address the secularization of society, the watering down of the Gospel message, Biblical and theological illiteracy within the Church, and to equip Christians to speak Biblically, passionately, and intelligently about the uniqueness of Christianity and to be prepared and equipped to "reverence Christ as Lord [and to be] always...prepared to make a defense to any one who calls you to account for the hope that is in you... (1 Peter 3:15)

The schedule is as follows:

  • Mondays: Gospel of Matthew – 10:00am-11:00am (In-person: Library & Zoom)
  • Wednesdays: Gospel of Luke & Acts – 7:30pm-8:30pm (Zoom Only)
  • Sundays: Catechetical Formation – 9:00-9:45am (In-person: Pettway Hall & Zoom)
